The Middle East is an area where cars and truck is king and fuel is cheap, frequently leaving little incentive to find more environmentally-friendly methods of moving.
But this year, as protests throughout the Middle East have actually risen the rate of oil, the problem of discovering alternative sources of fuel has come into sharp focus.
In a region that has among the highest carbon footprints on the planet, one company is benefiting from the growing pressure to find options to oil. It's set up the Middle East's very first plan to recycle cooking oil into biodiesel. It's showing rewarding too, already their client-list contains McDonald's.
